The Yawanawa culture is rich in chants, stories, ethnobotany and art; they attract the most eco-tourism in the State of Acre. After a rare victory in the demarcation of their territory, the Boa Foundation supported the Yawanawa to return to their ancestral land, and the construction of their cultural center. Their center welcomes visitors and is used for ceremonial and educational purposes. This is a great achievement for their people after a history of colonization, exile and slavery.
